While traveling back home from touring, the Hip Abduction's David New took a cross-country trip through some U.S. national parks, resulting in the new video for "Daydreamer," premiering below from the group's latest album, The clip captures scenes from visits to seven parks -- including Yosemite, Big Sur, Zion, Brice, Arches and others -- by New and his girlfriend after the Hip Abduction wrapped a tour out on the West Coast.
"I spent a lot of time hiking and camping when I was growing up," New says. "I have pretty much every book by Muir in my office. Those are words to live by." The Hip Abduction will be touring briefly with Dirty Heads next month and is currently working on a new album. "We're probably four or five songs into the next record," New reports. "I'd like to try to release something in the next six to eight months." Meanwhile the band is planning "a lot of social media and YouTube stuff," as well as plans to record a live album at the Suwannee Hulaween festival Oct. 24 in Florida.
