Except on FoxNews. They're talking about drag queens or something.
Somebody's going to be taking notes. The long months of depositions, document gathering and testimony come to a head this week as the Jan. 6 hearing make its debut in primetime. One network, you know which one, has given a hard pass on televising landmark hearings on the attempt to overturn a free and fair election. Instead, they’ll spend their time talking about transgender bathroom bills or drag queen storytime. Whatever.
The hearings aren’t aimed at that hard 30-33% of Republicans who ate horse medicine and thought the insurrection was just a bunch of folks looking for the gift shop. They’re aimed at the last remaining shreds of the establishment GOP, whoever they are, and independents. It’s a chance to remind folks that there’s scarier stuff than high gas prices going on in this country and they need to vote accordingly.
