According to NSW Health, the 43 deaths in the past 24 hours include 16 deaths notified through the NSW Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages.The state has recorded 8,149 new cases.
There are 497 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 27 in ICU and nine requiring ventilation.Of today's 46 reported deaths, 36 occurred in the past week, a further 8 deaths occurred in the past fortnight and 2 deaths occurred in late July, according to the Victorian Department of Health.
