The Mandalorian season 3 introduced the Mythosaur to Star Wars canon in a way that honors Boba Fett's franchise debut in The Star Wars Holiday Special. While many think The Empire Strikes Back was Boba Fett's first official Star Wars appearance, the character was actually first shown through animation in the highly-controversial Holiday Special.
Mandalorian & Book Of Boba Fett Feature Multiple Mountable Creatures The main way Boba's first appearance is being honored is through the many mountable creatures included in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The first of these creatures were the blurrgs, introduced in The Mandalorian's series premiere. The blurrgs were herded by Kuill and utilized by him and Din as a means of transport, with the duo riding them to the outpost in which Grogu was being held. Similarly.
With the Mythosaur looming over the story of The Mandalorian season 3 thus far, it is heavily likely that someone will tame and ride the beast by the end of the season or show itself.
