The 736 players used in the Women’s World Cup recorded some amazing statistics.

England keeper Mary Earps, who won the golden glove after saving a penalty in the Lionesses final loss against Spain, came in eighth with 15 saves, while Sweden’s goalkeeper Zecira Musovic was only second to Costa Rica’s Daniela Solera.

Solera faced an onslaught of shots during her country’s 3-0 loss to Spain in the first of their group stage matches, with the eventual World Cup champions having 46 attempts on goal during that match, 14 of which were on target. And when it came to penalty shots, Lioness Chloe Kelly’s attempt against Nigeria in England’s round of 16 match was the fastest of the tournament, with a maximum speed of 110.79 kilometres an hour.

Two of Australia’s penalty kicks against France came in at second and third, with Mary Fowler’s strike registering at 107.1 kilometres an hour, while Gorry’s was close behind at 106.33 kilometres an hour.
