since former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins walked out of Flemington’s Birdcage for the last time as Myer ambassador in 2018 but beneath a wide-brimmed Nerida Winter hat and in a lavender Carla Zampatti suit, Australian model Georgina Burke might save the Melbourne Cup.
“I’ve seen the work the VRC is putting in to do things better,” Burke says. “Especially how they look after thoroughbreds after racing.”Burke originally hoped to attend the event as a guest, but Frank took things further. It’s one reason why Burke is represented in the US by modelling giant IMG and in Australia by Frank, who rarely hears the word “no”.
