The TV spot provides a new detail regarding the return of Valak, who has been killing priests and nuns across Europe. Taissa Farmiga’s Sister Irene has been tasked to investigate due to her past experience with the demon nun.The Nun 2 is directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, based on Akela Cooper’s latest draft.
“1956 – France. A priest is murdered,” the synopsis for the film reads. “An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.”Both Wan and Peter Safran produce. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michael Polaire serve as executive producers.
