Greg Daniels is best known for the US version of The Office, but his new TV series is playing in a very different sandbox.

Daniels doesn’t want you to think he’s some harbinger of doom, that was never his intention. If anything, he called himself an optimist – and“As a comedy writer, I feel that tech has a lot of great promise but I find it most realistic when the promise is balanced by the glitches and greed. So for me, this is an exploration in what it would really be like if the six biggest tech companies could provide a digital afterlife for people, for money.
