Fear not, Windows users! We put Dell’s radical XPS 13 Plus head-to-head with the M2 MacBook Pro, and got some surprising results.

, has somehow managed to defy the laws of physics and come out with a MacBook that is extremely powerful, and yet not at all power hungry.It used to be that you were forced to choose between a high-end processor or a long battery life, but with the MacBook Pro M2 that Apple just released you get to have both.

The notebook has an unusual, almost gapless keyboard we thought we would hate, given how close all the keys are to each other, but which we unexpectedly love typing on.It has a very strange, invisible trackpad that’s hidden under the rubberised coating on the palm rest, which we likewise thought we would hate … and which we still kind of do hate.

There’s almost no gap between the keys on the Dell XPS 13 Plus. It should be bad, but it’s not at all bad. But here is the compromise Dell had to make that Apple didn’t: all the processing power in the XPS 13 Plus comes at the cost of battery life.
