A distraught family is pleading for help in a desperate search to find a missing grandmother who left a haunting note before she disappeared inon June 30 after she failed to show up to a house in the northwestern Adelaide suburb of Queenstown that she was meant to move into.

“She was just tired and the sun had been in her eyes and it was very bright. She just said: ‘Thanks for stopping,’ and we turned around and came home then.A diary was found beside the crashed car with a mysterious handwritten note.Police said the car been damaged after crashing into a ditch and the airbags had deployed.“Help me please,” it read.

“Our family believe it is suspicious. It is completely out of character for Colleen to go missing like this.”But South Australia Police said it was not believed anyone else was involved in her disappearance and at this stage it is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers have asked local farmers to check buildings and sheds on their properties for any sign of South.She was last seen wearing a black and white striped shirt with blue jeans.
