The outcome of the cases in the Wall hazing saga likely won’t be made public. Here’s why.

The actions against minors - under the age of 18 - are not technically charges, but juvenile delinquency petitions, or juvenile complaints. The juvenile system has no grand juries, juveniles are not indicted and the cases go right to a judge for proceedings.First, a juvenile suspect could publicize an outcome themselves, but that’s unlikely since their identities are never publicized.

“Prosecutors typically do not confirm the existence of investigations, especially here where juveniles are supposed to be afforded the benefits of confidentiality,” said another lawyer representing one of the accused students, Tara Breslow-Testa. of the Wall students, nor the total number charged. The office of Acting Prosecutor Lori Linskey was reluctant to make a statement, saying:
