A synagogue teacher, a Mexican grandfather, and the parents of a two-year-old found wandering alone are among the seven victims of the deadly Chicago Fourth of July mass shooting.The gunman was on a nearby roof when he opened fire on the July 4 paradeParents Irina McCarthy, 35, and Kevin McCarthy, 37, were killed when a rooftop sniper fired on the US national holiday celebrations.He was found wandering the street, bloodied and alone, by police.

Another victim was Nicolas Toledo, 78, visiting from Mexico when he was shot at the parade alongside relatives, some of whom were wounded but expected to survive, according to local media.Jacki Sundheim, 63, a teacher at a Highland Park synagogue, also was killed, leaving behind a husband and daughter.

"There are no words sufficient to express the depth of our grief for Jacki’s death and sympathy for her family and loved ones."She attended the parade with her older daughter so that Cassie could reunite with friends from high school, her husband Craig told the New York Times. He said Ms Goldstein, an avid bird watcher, wanted to be cremated and to have her remains scattered in the Montrose Beach area of Chicago, where there is a bird sanctuary.
