Large numbers of Texans are turning to out-of-state help to end their pregnancies safely. But now that option is under siege
Dr. Linda Prine, a family clinician in New York City, spends a lot of her day talking to Texans. “We probably get more calls from Texas than any other state,” said Prine, founder of the Miscarriage and Abortion Hotline, a free and confidential telehealth service staffed by a group of about 70 volunteer OB-GYNs, midwives, and family clinicians.
