Chris Rusell from Preston is running the entire length of Thailand to raise money for SEND schools in the country
When Brits visit sunny hotspots, you can often find them sunbathing, visiting landmarks and drinking at the local bar. But for one Preston man, his holiday consists of running across the entire length of the country.
He explained: "A friend mentioned charity and I've spent a lot of time in Thailand so it would be nice to give something back."It might not be loads but it will be something. I just think it's a great county and sometimes there's stereotypes tied to it, but it's great and if anyone hasn't visited they should. It's great and the people are friendly."
At the time of talking to Chris, he had almost reached half way through his journey and has since got only 396km left until he reaches the finishing line. Most importantly though, Chris has already made some lifelong memories. Although he says he's been lucky with his run, he does say the dogs of Thailand have been causing some issues. He added: "A few days ago this German Shepherd came charging at me, so I had to run into the road but I didn't realise there was a truck coming.
