The Queen has made a surprise appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wrap-up her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. 7NEWS
, Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children to mark the end of festivities on Sunday.It comes after the monarch, who has battled mobility issues in recent months, was forced to pull out of Friday’s church service at St Paul’s Cathedral and Saturday’s Epsom Derby after suffering from “discomfort.”
“While I may not have attended every event in person, my heart has been with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family. The event began with a military parade featuring thousands of personnel from the UK’s armed forces and from across the Commonwealth including Australia.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson were also in attendance.
