Irish pop-rock band The Script have announced a summer 'warm-up' gig in Blackpool. The trio are set to head out on a European stadium tour supporting global superstar Pink in June and July.
And they have chosen the Opera House in the seaside resort to play a last-minute preparation show. The Man Who Can't Be Moved band from Dublin, led by frontman and singer Danny O'Donoghue and completed by guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power, will play the Winter Gardens gig on June 4. In a post announcing the warm-up show, the band promised fans it would be "epic" before adding: "We can’t wait to see you all again, it’s going to be huge."The award-winning band, known for anthemic hits such as Hall of Fame and Superheroes, formed in 2001 and have gone on to rack up six studio albums, a movie and six world tours. They will also play a second warm-up date in Wolverhampton on June 5.
Supporting Pink on the first leg of her Summer Carnival World Tour will see The Script open at the Bolton University Stadium on June 7. They will then head to huge venues across the UK and Europe, including Sunderland, Netherlands and Paris. They will finish their summer headlining the Meo Mares Vivas Festival in Porto, Portugal on July 16. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, March 31 at 9.30am.
