Entries open this week for the 2023 Australian Financial Review Higher Education Awards.
The Australian Financial Review’sThe annual awards cover the important and influential work universities do in community and industry engagement, learning and teaching, research commercialisation, graduate employability, equity and nurturing the next generation of university leaders.
Last year’s winners show how vitally important the work of universities is to the broader community, often unseen and unheralded. Professor Coaldrake’s “retirement” job is as chief commission of the national higher education regulator where, again, he uses his keen eye for quality and commitment to diversity to reshape the sector, one university college and new university at a time.
Last year’s long and particularly strong list of entries highlighted the wide breadth of talent in university ranks. It also revealed deep pockets of profound innovation that can have deep and enduring impact on communities both local and global.
