Well, it all stops being so romantic. At least, in the glamorous sense of the word. And while as a society we might be ready for our great loves, I’m not sure we’re so ready for the hard work that is required to keep that great love going. A friend and I were debating the complexities of relationships recently when she told me about an article she read that said more than a third of couples regret getting a divorce. There is so much pressure on relationships being right, that as soon as they go slightly wrong, we find ourselves reaching for the jump chord.
