Here's how the national media - and the ECHO's Paul Gorst - reacted to Liverpool's Premier League draw with Brighton
Liverpool missed the chance to move above Manchester City in the Premier League as they drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex on Sunday.
"Klopp's men were a typical blend of swashbuckling brilliance and a vulnerable mess here, at times showing the attacking prowess that makes them look unstoppable and at other moments demonstrating a sloppiness that makes them seem like they can be picked apart by any team." Neil Johnston of BBC Sport wrote: "Liverpool have now failed to beat Brighton in the past four attempts and there will be frustration from Klopp - who took charge of the Reds on this date in 2015 - that his players could not hold on to the lead after turning it around.
Jonathan Wilson of The Guardian wrote: "Confusion. Confusion on the pitch and confusion off the pitch. A lot of modern football, especially as practised by managers such as Jürgen Klopp and Roberto De Zerbi, seems to be about, if not controlling confusion, then at least directing it, pushing the confusion into the right areas.
