Terry Hall, the lead singer of The Specials has died following a short illness aged 63, his bandmates have confirmed. The death of the former member of Fun Boy Three and the Colourfield, hailed 'one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists' was announced on Monday night
Penning a heartfelt tribute, the band wrote: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, following a brief illness, of Terry, our beautiful friend, brother and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists this country has ever produced.
