There is a shocking disparity in Australia between the cheapest and most expensive routes to a full licence.

The cost of getting your full licence across each state and territory has been revealed in new research.

And while costs around the country are increasing, there is still a shockingly large gap - 780 per cent - between the cheapest and most expensive, according to EzLicence.The Territory's learners benefit from the DriveSafe initiative, which costs $110 for them receive education and training from qualified driving instructors, along with over $600 in subsidies towards obtaining a driver's licence.

EzLicence found that outside the NT, Tasmania had the cheapest driving lessons at an average of $69.44 an hour, below the national average of $80.Despite being the most expensive state to get your L licence with a cost of $165 associated, Western Australia then drops back in the expense rankings.There are several factors that put South Australia at the top of the list, EzLicence found.

The state has the highest average price for driving licence at $109, and the most expensive P2 licence, at $109 again.
