The mayor of Temora could not be prouder of the three Blues with links to the Riverina town – but resisted introducing a public holiday for Origin.

Blues forward Liam Martin says there’s nothing special in the water in Temora, despite the town producing three players who will represent NSW on Wednesday.

“You only have to use the public amenities in Wagga and they will claim you as one of their own,” Firman told this masthead. “We have Paleface Park in the heart of town where we have an elite sportsperson’s walk of honour in the shadows of a big statue of the great Paleface Adios. The inductees need to be retired for five years, and one of those inductees is Trent Barrett. There is plenty of room to add these boys.”There are 6100 people in Temora, which has also produced North Queensland coach Todd Payten, and Hawthorn forward Luke Breust.
