Halligan will also have to manage an evolving television ecosystem, competition for eyeballs as the digital video giants keep muscling into the turf of free-to-air networks and OzTAM modernising its television metrics delivery system. It has been a tough year for commercial television, total advertising revenue was down 7.9 per cent in the 12 months to June 30. However, the BVOD segment - makes up just over 10 per cent of Total TV advertising dollars - was up 6 per cent for the period.
