Heatwave ready.
as much as the next person, there’s something about the 30 degree heat of June and the sweltering heat of the London Underground that makes heavy, clinging cotton and sleeves, of any length, feel wholly unappealing. What’s a girl to do?
After countless hours of research, I’ve come up with a definitive list of eight summer-ready tops that are an easy alternative to my trusty white tee. My criteria? I wanted them to be cool and sleeveless , I want them to go with all the bottoms in my wardrobe – be it a maxi skirt or tailored trousers – and, of course, I want them to look good, preferably with little effort.
As always, the fashion week runways were a core part of my research and it didn’t take long to see that the humblewas an essential addition to my line-up, with elevated iterations coming courtesy of Bottega Veneta and Coperni. Elsewhere, the waistcoat, which has been simmering under the surface for a few seasons now, has finally hit the mainstream.
