Kobinger told the outlet, though, that her vehicle had been stolen on January 29, just a few days before the crime occurred. She had listed the car for sale on Facebook marketplace, and a man responded to her ad. While looking over the car, he asked for two test drives. On the first, he behaved normally, but on the second, she said, he began driving aggressively. Kobinger asked to take over as driver, but when she got out of the car in order to switch seats with the man, he drove away.
That will likely be added to the tally of charges that the suspects involved in this crime face, which include breaking and entering, mischief to property, dangerous driving, and possession of stolen property, according to York Regional Police.
