The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning on April 10.Thieves have allegedly been ransacking the site where a tragic house fire took place in Adelaide that claimed the life of a 23-year-old mother.
Others from the Afghani family of 12 who were also inside at the time of the blaze were able to be evacuated safely. Now police say that just a day after the fire, thieves started sifting through the charred remnants of the Northcote Street home."I think it's very horrible. It's very shameless for the people who are doing this, stealing from a family who has lost everything," Mr Sediqi told 9News.Charity group Adelaide Sisters Association has been helping the family replace some of the belongings they have lost.
"I don't know what type of people would do such a thing to someone who's already suffered so much. So yeah it's heartbreaking," Jordan Shane from the charity said.A day after the Adelaide house fire fire, police allege the thieves started sifting through the debris and took important items."They have to start from scratch, you know, especially having now lost everything after being looted," Ms Shane said.
