Oktoberfest at the Lot is from 12 to 10 p.m. Sept. 30 at The Lot in downtown Highland Park. Tickets are free. Tickets are $5-$10. At 221 N. Genesee St.
Every attendee will receive a free comic book plus be entered for a chance to a comic book signed by Ray Bradbury.The inaugural Bonfire and Brews: A Taste of Gurnee event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 30 at Bittersweet Golf Club in Gurnee. Tickets are free. At 875 Almond Road. 847-855-9031;Guests will enjoy a bonfire, live music from Matt Meyer, food and beverages from local vendors; plus, axe throwing, bags and large yard games.The Righteous Brothers perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct.
