More than 300 companies have been told to improve their COVID-safe work plans for indiscretions including lack of PPE and physical distancing and not permitting employees to work from home.

There are now 169 Victorians in hospital with COVID-19, 27 fewer than on Wednesday, including 17 in intensive care.
