People can't help falling in love with this young Elvis impersonator.
Brentley Cotton strolled into a Mobile Starbucks looking for all the world like a little Elvis – the 1970s version, with the white leisure suit, bejeweled cape and thick gold glasses, his dark hair slicked back. The baristas whispered, smiling in his direction, and a customer wearing earbuds and playing on his phone got up and asked if he could take a photo.Brentley, who turned 13 on May 8, obliged, flashing a big, Elvis-worthy grin.
But last summer, Dixie surprised her three children – Brentley is the middle child, with an older sister and a younger brother – by taking them there herself. They even stayed at the guest house on the property.While they were there, they saw a tribute show, and Brentley “got to go up to the stage,” she says. “He had such a good time.”
At the theater, Brentley received lots of compliments on his costume. Afterward, several moviegoers asked to take photos of him. He gave them his best Elvis poses, with aplomb. “He’s a character,” his mother says. “We were trying to make it to the car, and people were still taking pictures.”
