Situated in the heart of Manchester, and intrinsic to the region’s business community and hospitality sector, Manchester Central is one of the UK’s largest and most versatile event venues. The venue attracts over half a million visitors to the city each year, bringing approximately £150m into the local economy in an average year.
The space held events of every description for 20 years, including concerts for some of Manchester's most loved bands, and in 2007, it was rebranded as Manchester Central. It underwent a £30 million refurbishment in 2009, taking the venue onto the world stage of conferencing and events. Located in the centre of the city, the space is easy to reach via Manchester’s extensive multi-modal transport network.
Hosted on the Exchange side of the venue, the event featured conference and seminar sessions delivered across multiple stages, as well as an evening drinks reception. Following a drinks reception in Central Foyer, the Manchester Central team turned the presentation space around and made it the perfect banquet area to serve a three-course meal to guess, fully equipped with a dance floor.
