The brand has collaborated with First Nations artist Shaun Daniel Allen on a timepiece that captures Australia’s “heritage, culture and landscape”.
Family-owned Chopard is famed for bringing joy to the female wrist with its Happy Diamonds timepieces, which feature loose stones moving at random, sandwiched between two crystals atop the dial.
Now, Chopard has a similar hit on its hands with the Alpine Eagle, essentially a steel sports watch that reworks a 1970s design into something that, while genderless has undoubted masculine appeal. It’s a watch that has been in short supply since its release in 2019, thanks to a combination of features – sleek design, the use of ethical materials including Lucent Steel and fair-mined gold, and stunning dials referencing the iris of the Alpine eagle, hence the name.
