Professor Kidd said the number of new cases in Victoria continues to be "significant" but it was too early to tell if recent lockdown measures were successful."There have been over 2.61 million tests conducted across Australia and this includes over 20,000 tests carried out yesterday in Melbourne in the city," Prof. Kidd said.
"We continue to be very concerned about the outbreak in Victoria and the continuing cases of community transmission."Prof. Kidd urged residents locked down in coronavirus hotspots to look after their physical and mental health.
