The Liberal leader also pointed to some of the high-profile cases where underage perpetrators have allegedly targeted adults.“We've got a government that has cut crime prevention by over $4 million and youth engagement programs by over $6 million,” the Opposition Leader said.“We see correctional officers who are responsible for monitoring and supervising people who come out of our justice system… go from 25 case loads to case loads of 50 people.
Shadow police minister Brad Battin, whose portfolios include youth justice and criminal justice reform, is a long-time supporter of raising the age.
