The three-story condo with sweeping views of the city is priced at $15,000 per square foot.
The triplex spans floors 129 through 131 with 17,545 square feet of interior living space. The property has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two spacious kitchens along with 30-foot tall ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and three powder rooms. There’s even a sculptural spiral staircase in the home that connects all three floors.
President and founder of Extell Development Gary Barnett, whose company is behind Central Park Tower, tellsin statement that the upper floor of the home is configured as a private ballroom or entertainment space. But best of all, perhaps, is that you’ll have unobstructed views of Central Park, as well as the Hudson and East rivers from the penthouse’s 1,433-square-foot terrace that includes glittering cityscape views at night.
Barnett claims he wanted to wait for construction to wrap on the tower before listing the penthouse. The developer also admits that $250 million is an ambitious pricetag, but argues that it is also a bargain at about $15,000 a square foot. He claims the figures are comparable to what buyers have paid for homes at Vornado Realty Trust’s 220 Central Park South.
