Desmond Durham

, 35, of Newark, worked three jobs while in graduate school. On Tuesday, May 25, 2023, he's graduating with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University. "Getting to this point hasn't been easy," Durham said. "But man, it's been worth it."Newark resident has always been a go-getter.

By day, he’s a health and physical education teacher at Barringer High School. In the afternoon, he works as the district coordinator for Newark’s elementary basketball program.
