Queensland will need to add 26,700 construction workers to boost its grid capacity by 12 times over the next 30 years to reach net zero by 2050.

Queensland’s renewable energy boom will require up to 26,700 construction workers over the next 20 years to help the state wean itself off its coal-fired power stations and reach net zero by 2050, according to a new report.on the pathway to net zero by the middle of the century, a Construction Skills Queensland report released on Tuesday outlines the challenges it will need to overcome.
