But before you take to the streets, there’s a bit of toe upkeep you might want to attend to. Here’s what the experts recommend.

December and January can be the busiest months for nail salons, but Dr Rudo Makunaya, a podiatrist and founder of The Foot Hub, warns this means the risk of injury is also high. “Don’t try to squeeze in a pedicure.
