Thousands of people turn up to protests being held in Australian capital cities and regional centres to support the Black Lives Matter movement and denounce racism and acts of police brutality against Indigenous people.

In Adelaide, it is estimated that thousands turned out to the rally held at Victoria Square in the CBD, with many people seen wearing face masks to protect against the spread of coronavirus.They carried Aboriginal flags and placards saying "black lives matter".
