, Lithgow, Oberon and Wallerawang were all impacted.

NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole told 2GB's Ben Fordham crews were working to restore supply "as soon as possible".Thousands of people across New South Wales were left without gas overnight after an outage."Supply has been impacted by loss of containment on the APA Young-Lithgow pipeline," Toole said. "The incident site is near the Macquarie River and is flood impacted, making access to the affected section of pipeline challenging."

Bathurst resident Hugh told Fordham that he was confused after attempting to fix his hot water system this morning."Then we found that there wasn't any gas supply to Bathurst and possibly not for many days now.""A gas supply issue is currently impacting customers in Bathurst, Lithgow, Oberon, and Wallerawang," it said in a statement."Our crews are working closely with APA who are investigating the cause of the incident with a view to conducting repairs.

"Once repairs are complete we will commence restoring customers' gas supply as safely and quickly as possible - as a result this may take some time and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
