The Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra Dragons are playing for the Anzac Cup in front of a sold out crowd at Allianz Stadium.
The two teams have played for the Anzac Cup since 2002 and the match is traditionally a huge affair for both sides and the fans.
The Ode was then read by NSWRSL President Ray James before the playing of the Last Post on the bugle, the Rouse and then the Australian and New Zealand National Anthems.Throughout the entire service the crowd stood respectfully in silence to commemorate the servicemen and women who fought for the nation.
The crowd was mostly wearing the red, white and blue of the Roosters or the red and white of the Dragons, but many also wore sprigs of rosemary or poppies to commemorate the Anzacs.
