Anyone trying to enter the state will need to fill out a new border declaration form proving they have not been in Victoria in the last 14 days. Anyone caught falsifying the form will face fines up to $4,000. Police warned drivers trying to cross the border they faced delays up to three hours.

Man arrested for trying to cross NSW-Vic border | Sky News AustraliaA man has been arrested after attempting to cross the New South Wales and Victoria border without a permit.\n\nHe was arrested shortly after 11am on Wednesday in Corowa when a car with Victorian number plates attempted to enter New South Wales.\n\nOfficers from the Murray River police district spoke with the driver who allegedly declared his intention to cross the border despite not having a valid exemption.\n\nHe was then arrested and taken to Albury Police Station and is assisting police with enquiries.\n
