Australian Federal Police and Border Force officers discovered the 29 packages of cocaine after receiving an SOS call from a smaller cabin cruiser off Rottnest Island.
Police searched the ship at sea before taking it to Fremantle, and then to Kwinana where it remains. AFP Assistant Commissioner Pryce Scanlan said that had the haul not been intercepted, it could've resulted in a huge spike in violence and addiction rates in the community.
