Three people are dead and four hospitalized at an event in Pittsburgh, Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich said Sunday.
Pittsburgh Police earlier confirmed"multiple hospitalizations and deaths" after responding to a medical situation on the city's South Side. "All of the victims are wearing orange paper bands on their wrists," police said in a statement. Police asked for information from anyone who attended or knew about a party or event where guests were given orange wristbands.
Few details on the event or the cause of the deaths was immediately available. Five of the victims were found in apartment, one in elevator outside apartment and one on a nearby street, police said.The investigation was continuing.
