Australian Border Force officers allegedly found a white crystalline substance in the lining of the suitcase, with tests confirming the presence of methamphetamines.Investigations will determine the exact weight of the drugs, but police believe about two kilograms of methamphetamines were hidden in the bag.
The man fronted Parramatta Local Court on Friday, charged with one count of importing a marketable quantity of border controlled drugs. The 28-year-old's bag tested positive to containing cocaine when he arrived at Melbourne Airport from the Middle East, before he was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital for a CT scan.
