Three walkers have been found dead after they failed to return from a walk in Glen Coe.Their walk took them along Aonach Eagach ridge, famed as the narrowest ridge on the British mainland.
HM Coastguard and Glencoe and RAF mountain rescue teams were also involved with the rescue and recovery operation – but sadly the three walkers were found dead. A force spokeswoman said: ‘There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.’ The Aonach Eagach is considered a ‘spectacular traverse for keen and experienced scramblers’, and Walkhighlands says it’s ‘probably the trickiest scrambling on any Walkhighlands route’.Got a story?
