Three police officers have been injured after a patrol car was torn apart in a serious car crash in Queensland's south-east which has left one person in a critical condition.car had its sirens and lights on and was believed to have been responding to an emergency call when it crashed into a ute en-route in Caboolture, in the Moreton Bay region.
The driver's side door was crumpled, the windscreen was smashed, and the side door peeled off and twisted behind.Paramedics, firefighters and other police officers arrived at the scene on River Drive, with the three injured officers and the driver of the ute all taken to hospital.It's understood the ute driver was fleeing a nearby stabbing that police were responding to when the crash happened.
"One patient was transported to Caboolture Hospital in a critical condition, three to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, one in a critical condition, one serious but stable and one stable," Queensland Ambulance Service said on Twitter.
