A housing solicitor has given some top tips
An expert has shared three things all students must do if they are planning on moving for university.

It is a legally binding document that sets out the arrangement with the landlord for a set amount of time.
"In addition to this, if you are moving into private shared accommodation, the chances are that you’ll be asked to sign a ‘joint tenancy agreement’ which means you and your friends are jointly responsible for all ‘breaches of contract’. They can include damage and unpaid rent. The solicitor suggested taking pictures of any existing damage, no matter how minor and ensure that the pictures are dated. He explained: “These can be used should your landlord claim that you caused any disrepair, when it was in fact already present in the property when you moved in.”
