A throuple are applying to become legal parents to their adopted daughter and surrogate son. They plan to start a consultancy business to "create a pathway" for smoothly integrating children into three-person relationships.
On a daily basis, the throuple shares baby duties, sleeps in the same bed, and has not received any negative comments about their relationship. Even when enrolling Tegan into a traditional Methodist preschool, they experienced nothing but "open mindedness" from staff. However, Benjamin had not yet come out to his family. Introducing his partners meant coming out and revealing his throuple status simultaneously, which his family surprisingly accepted quite positively.
Their efforts paid off, with 30 to 40 women contacting them each week, leading them to meet Tegan, their baby daughter, by March 2022. On December 4, 2023, they expanded their family again, welcoming baby Bowie Rolam. Throughout 2022, Mitch and Benjamin provided sperm samples, with Benjamin's ultimately leading to a successful pregnancy confirmed in March 2023. As the due date approached in December 2023, the trio relocated to Mexico City for around two months to handle the necessary paperwork and stay close to the surrogate.
