Thomas Ward had 'a couple of drinks' and 'came across the protest,' the court heard
A thug threw a plank of wood at police officers before exposing himself to them during violent disorder in Piccadilly Gardens.
The court was told he 'completely regretted his actions' as he pleaded guilty to violent disorder and exposure in what a Judge branded a 'shameful' incident. The court heard he was part of a large ‘angry’ crowd in the city centre. He was seen to throw a plank of wood towards police officers, and was seen to kick out at a man during a group assault on him.
