Police have released a CCTV image
A teenage boy was chased and threatened with a 'zombie knife' before having his bike stolen. Greater Manchester Police says two men, dressed all in black and wearing balaclavas, targeted the youngster in Salford.
The pair first rode past their 15-year-old victim on Chatsworth Road, in Worsley. One of the offenders was on an electric bike, while the other was on a moped. GMP says the pair chased the teenager down a small footpath which leads to the White Horse pub, on Worsley Road. One of the suspects then threatened the boy with a zombie-style knife that was in his waist band, forcing the victim off his bike.The offender then made off with the boy's bike, along Worlsey Road. GMP says the Specialized bike is worth almost £4,000.
Police have today released a CCTV image linked to the incident, which took place at around 6pm last Tuesday, March 5. Anyone who information about the incident or video footage can contact GMP on 0161 856 5134, quoting log 2654 of March 5, 2024. Information can also be passed onto GMP using the 'report' tool on the force's website. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
